As the world reopens and experiences resume after coronavirus quarantines, it's important for us all to act responsibly to protect each other's health and safety. With that in mind, we've put together the following measures based on publicly available guidance from the World Health Organisation, the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
While we hope these guidelines are helpful, you should also continue to monitor and follow all local and national recommendations and restrictions. We have instituted certain measures to help address health and safety concerns but these measures cannot eliminate all risk. Please note that measures taken in Greece may differ from measures taken by your home country.
If you are feeling ill, please cancel your booking with us. If you have or think you have any symptoms, wait 72 hours after symptoms disappear before taking part in one of our tours. If you have been in contact with someone who is infected, wait 14 days before joining us.
These measures are common to all of our tours.
- All customers touch points are frequently disinfected
- Temperature checks are mandatory for guests and crew members (once a day for day tours, twice a day for adventures)
- All protective equipment is provided (masks, gloves, hand sanitizer)
- Soap will be available at all times and guests & crew members will need to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds anytime the skipper will judge it necessary.
- Snorkeling equipment is disinfected everyday and assigned to guests for the whole tour.
- Reduction of tour capacity by 20% to help social distancing
- Snorkeling tubes, floatation devices (to help you swim) and floaties are not available during semi-private tours.
- Bed linen, towels and beach towels are professionally disinfected by our specialized partner in Heraklion
To protect everyone, cancel your reservation and stay home if you are feeling sick. If you have or think you have symptoms, wait at least 72 hours after symptoms disappear before joining us on board. If you have been in contact with someone who is infected, please wait at least 14 days before participating in our cruise.
All guests are being asked to wear protective face coverings as recommended by regulatory agencies and authorities such as the american Center for Disease Control or the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
During the entire experience, guests are asked to maintain distance from each other as recommended by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control. Avoid direct contact at all times, and remember to keep a safe physical distance between yourself and other people. When meeting us and other guests, don't shake hands or hug - instead, we will invite you to a no-contact greeting. Remember, if you'd rather do the cruise with only your group, you can consider a private booking (we offer discounted rates for that matter).
Make sure to wash your hands before, during and after your cruise. Hand sanitizer will be provided during the day.
Wash your hands properly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Wash them before eating, after going to the bathroom, after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
When soap and water are not easily available (due to the boat making way for example, you can use provided hand sanitizer. Cover your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
Lunch service might be adapted from traditional seating to plated service.
If you recently tested positive for COVID-19 or have started to feel any COVID-19 symptoms after attending an experience, contact us straight away and let us know when you tested positive and when the symptoms began. We will take immediate action to trace contacts, test and report to the local authorities to avoid further spreading.
Our guidelines have been audited, reviewed and approved by the World Travel & Tourism Council. This shows that our measures are aligned with the WTTC’s Safe Travels Protocols.
